Guitars: 1982 Ibanez Roadstar II

My first "real" guitar. My mom bought this for me at Rockley Music in Lakewood, CO in February 1983. I used it as my main axe until 1992, when I switched to Stratocasters. I had it re-fretted and a new brass plug receptacle made in 1990 at Axe Haven in Denver. The original pickguard broke from so much use and abuse. I traded the original case to a bandmate for a "repro tweed" case (colored Con-Tact paper made to look like tweed) in 1988. I still have that as well.

I have been playing her some more recently. She definitely has her own thing going on. More like a telecaster vibe. Had her out with the old Twin Reverb a while back. Was pretty cool having my old "High School" rig on the stage 20-plus-years later.
